Perea Preschool


Strong parental support helps to make Perea a success.

Parents are involved daily at Perea whether it be reading in the classroom, attending a special event, or assisting teachers with a project. Monthly breakfast and dinner meetings are specifically designed to provide valuable information and resources to our parents.

Home Visits and Family conferences help to maintain open communication and develop a sense of teamwork between home and school.

Family Advisory Board

A group of family members volunteer who are willing to represent each classroom in planning activities that bring Perea families together. These activities have included Christmas Store for the children as well as Teacher Appreciation Week events. This group gives an opportunity for families to have a greater voice in their children’s education.

Family Engagement

Perea’s parents also receive support from our Family Engagement team, whose role is to connect parents with the school. The Family Engagement team also provides necessary community resources in order to meet the needs of our families. These resources include financial assistance, housing searchers, job assistance, counseling services, spiritual guidance, budget counseling, transportation needs, and any other services that may benefit and strengthen our families.

Healthier Homes & Lifestyles

The teachers and the Family Engagement Team work together to guide each family towards healthier homes and lifestyles. We support our families so they can support each other. It is our firm belief that by doing this, we can change our communities.
