2022-2023 Parent Letter – Emergency Instructions

09/23/2022

Dear Parents

We are prepared to care for your child in case of an emergency. If you are not able to reach the school, we will care for your child until you or a designated person arrives.  We have several staff members certified in first aid training and we will communicate with the local emergency services.  We do ask for your help in the following ways:

  • Do not call the school.  It is essential that telephone lines are open for emergency calls.
  • Have a working phone number on file in the office in order to receive text messages for updates
  • Stay tuned to your radio and television stations for updated developments on the school.
  • Avoid traffic congestion by not driving immediately onto the school ground.  The school access route and street entrance areas must remain clear for emergency vehicles.

During the school year, your child will be trained in the necessary emergency procedures.  He/she will learn to react, where to assemble, and what to expect in an emergency.  If you have any questions or comments about SCS Multi-Hazard Emergency preparation plans, please call the school at 901-203-6420.

Sincerely yours,

Deadre Ussery
