Social Services Program Strategist

ABOUT THE SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAM STRATEGIST ROLE: The Social Services Program Strategist is a key member of the organization’s Leadership Team. They provide strategic leadership and oversight of the daily operations of all social services programming for the Schools of Perea and work closely with senior/executive leadership to coordinate appropriate schedules, training, and data sources to support the monitoring of the program’s impact. Additionally, the Social Services Program Strategist will hold the credentials necessary to serve as a Licensed School Psychologist to assess, diagnose, and treat emotional, mental, and behavioral disorders and advocate for students’ well-being.

The Social Services Program Strategist supports the day-to-day operations of the Perea Institute & Family Resource Center. This includes the development of training streams for Social Services staff, school leadership/staff, and parents. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring the consistent connection of theory and action among all components of the Schools of Perea Social and Academic Learning Model.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain a student-centered approach to programmatic decision-making and interactions with students and staff members.
  2. Effectively manage cross-functional relationships with all service providers to ensure the appropriate scope of work is developed and executed.
  3. Coordinate and communicate relevant schedules to appropriate stakeholders.
  4. Facilitate and/or engage in ongoing professional learning to support the fidelity of program implementation.
  5. Gather, disaggregate, analyze, and share multiple data sources at frequent intervals to point to programmatic impact on student outcomes.
  6. Administer and analyze the results of psychological assessments.
  7. Articulate assessment results to relevant stakeholders in clear, understandable language while attending to cultural sensitivity
  8. Maintain progress notes as required
  9. Plan, facilitate, and engage in Data Team meetings at appropriate intervals throughout the school year.
  10. Complete, maintain, and submit all required documentation related to program implementation.
  11. Provide effective leadership, guidance, and training to the Social Services Team.

REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Minimum Education Level: Must have a master’s degree in a relevant area, doctorate preferred.
  • License Required: School Service license issued by TN Department of Education, with School Psychologist endorsement (489).
  • Experience Required: Documented experience working as a Licensed School Psychologist, preferably with students with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs.
